OLIVIER LE GOAS
ABSTRACT
"Olivier Le GOAS on his new recording, Abstract, has found a way to bring his compositional talents to the fore while at the same time highlighting the musicians he surrounds himself with. Each musician's talents are used not to stand alone but to make for beautiful group interplay. What one is left with after hearing this music is the feeling that these seven musicians are serving the music, giving more then the expected, adding their own interpretations but always fully aware of the whole. This is not a common approach these days. I think this music has deep roots."
